Paya Lebar Estate

Located in the eastern part of Singapore, Paya Lebar was named after Malay word “swamp” and “wide”. The housing estate is surrounded by Tampines estate, Defu Industrial Park and Kaki Bukit Industrial Park.

Paya Lebar is home to the first international airport in Singapore since 1955, which subsequently converted into military airport after the establishment of Changi Airport in 1981.

Today, Paya Lebar estate is on its way to transform into a commercial hub under URA Master Plan, with Paya Lebar Quarter (PLQ) being one of the pioneer development. Paya Lebar MRT station is taking an important role as the transport hub which is connecting Circle Line MRT and East West Line MRT as well as Paya Lebar Quarter development.

Moving forward, Paya Lebar will expand further when Paya Lebar Military Airbase make way for more industrial activities from 2030 onwards.
